Contact info

The best way to reach me, is to phone the freenet office, leaving a message there for me.  I'll call you back within hours if possible, else within a day or two, making sure to have the time to hear you out.

You can also email me @torfree.net (my username is dn097).  I am often in the TFN office in person but, at times, it gets pretty hectic there, which makes it hard to focus on a conversation with one individual.  Then again, sometimes the office gets really quiet...

About me

Until the fall of 2009, my participation as a TFN volunteer was centered on server administration and on other information technology projects.  In October 2009, I nominated myself to TFN's board of directors.  I did so because I felt that action and new direction were urgently needed.  My campaign platform for the 2009 AGM detailed my thoughts on the matter.  At the 2009 AGM, I was acclaimed to the board and, that same evening, the board unanimously appointed me president.

At the September 2010 board meeting, I told my colleagues on TFN's board that I would stand down, making my seat available at the 2010 AGM.  I also said that I intended to run again, giving TFN members a fresh opportunity to vote against or in favour of my leadership record.  I did not publish any new materials.  At the 2010 AGM, I accepted a nomination to the board.  I was acclaimed once more.  At the subsequent board meeting in November 2010, the board appointed me president unanimously again.

In my official capacity as TFN's president I wanted to publish my ongoing thoughts in the president's blog.  Alas, TFN keeps me very busy, and I have left that diary untended.
